Our mission is to become the leader in the Criminal Investigations industry with our main goal being to satisfy our client’s needs. We strive to build long lasting partnerships with our clients and help build strong client to investigator relationships. Our primary focus is in becoming an extended arm to our client’s investigative arm. We will achieve our mission by utilizing the latest investigative tools and most up to date training and resources to help our clients find the accurate information they are looking for while working with our clients best interest in mind.

Our Philosophy

The traditional practices of working with specific clients based on their demographics are no longer valid in today’s investigative industry. Our work is not aimed towards one specific client or organization. Our work is simply any individual that wants to find the information they need to make the right decisions. Our goal is to be the private investigative agency of choice for attorneys and private clients across the United States and will work with integrity, honesty, and dedication in helping our clients find the information they need, when they need it the most.

Nanette Cabral
– President

Private Detective Nanette Cabral is President and Owner of Cabral Investigation Services. Nanette opened her business in August of 2010. With a background in both criminal defense investigations, law enforcement and a variety of specialized training, Nanette offers attorneys a “dual insight” to cases. Nanette Cabral has investigated everything from Murder cases to simple Assault & Battery along with experience in working with Juvenile Cases. Nanette’s 26 years of experience encompasses working for the Boston Penal Department on Deer Island, Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department (Sergeant) in Boston, Harbor Point Police Department (Officer in charge) in Dorchester, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts/Public Defenders (Criminal Defense Investigator) in Boston and for The State of Florida/Department of Juvenile Justice (Probation officer I). Nanette enjoys sharing her knowledge with her investigators and providing them with the most up to date trainings. She strives for team work and making sure her employees and clients are always happy. Personally, Nanette used to be a singer and has recorded a CD. She truly enjoys music that brings her tranquility. She enjoys spending time with her Son Carlos, family members, and the outdoors. She is also a true Patriots fan.

Miranda Whealan
– Operations Manager/ Supervisor

Investigator Whealan comes to Cabral Investigation Services with a bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Minor in Social Welfare from Anna Maria College, in Paxton MA. She is Bilingual in English and Portuguese. Miranda has experience with providing investigative services to both Criminal & Civil Attorneys. She has worked on numerous amounts of cases such as; Larceny, Assault and Battery, Robbery, Murder, Rape, Drug Trafficking, etc. She has worked on cases in Federal, Superior, & District Courts. She has experience interviewing witnesses, alleged victims, and any involved party in a criminal/civil matter. Miranda has experience working juvenile cases, and interviewing children that have endured trauma. She has worked private cases and has done Surveillance. She is a great report writer as well as completing Data base Internet Research.

Prior to joining CIS in 2016, Miranda was selected for a competitive full-semester internship with the Washington Center for internships program. She interned for the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C. During her College experience she was also invited to assist in the investigation of missing person Andy Puglisi, a missing person of 38 years. Investigator Whealan worked with Forensic Anthropologist Ann Marie Mires, state troopers & their K-9s to conduct field research. Miranda has worked for Lahey Health Behavioral Services as a Therapeutic Training and Support, as well as a Therapeutic Mentor. There she worked closely with youth and their families on conflict resolution and problem solving. Miranda has also worked for The MENTOR Network as a Foster Care Coordinator. She would oversee all services provided to individuals and their families, monitor quality of care delivered, and ensure compliance with state regulations.

Miranda is also CANS Trauma Certified. She is passionate, she’s received training in the latest investigative techniques and is equipped with the latest investigative tools available to the investigations industry. Personally, Miranda is a mother to a beautiful little girl Amaiya Jade, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and a great ZUMBA class!

Luis Olmedo
– Investigator

Investigator Olmedo comes to Cabral Investigation Services with a bachelor’s in criminal justice from University of Massachusetts Boston.  Luis joined CIS’s team of investigators in April of 2017. He is bilingual in Spanish and English. Luis Olmedo has worked Murder Cases, Drug Cases. Larceny, Assault and battery, rape, etc. Luis is great at interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence, and giving the attorneys what they want and need.

He strives to maintain great relationships with his clients. He has experience with online database research as well as surveillance. Prior to joining CIS Luis worked for the Department of Youth Services. There he was responsible for monitoring youth and promoting positive youth development, for safety of youth and following protocols, and to maintain a safe environment. Luis has worked as a Security guard as well as an intern at Dorchester District Court & Edward Brooke Courthouse. Personally, Luis is a lifeguard and head swim instructor. He also enjoys spending time with his friends and family.

Hevelyn Da Silva
– Investigator

Investigator Hevelyn Da Silva comes to Cabral Investigation Services with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, MA. Investigator Da Silva is tri-lingual in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. She is also a Certified Legal Interpreter in Portuguese. Hevelyn has experience with online database research. Investigator Da Silva has also shadowed Nanette Cabral on over 200 cases for a year on Murder Cases, Drug cases, Rape Cases, Larceny, Assault & Battery etc.

Prior to coming to Cabral Investigation Services, Hevelyn worked in the medical field as a medical secretary as well as a marketer for the company. She worked with attorneys on Motor Vehicle accident cases as well as Worker’s Compensation cases to best assist with their clients, so they could have a successful case. She is a passionate and ambitious individual. On her personal time, Hevelyn enjoys to spend time with her beautiful daughter Laura Sophia, working out, and reading novels.

Tianna Nightingale
– Investigator

Investigator Tianna Nightingale comes to Cabral Investigation Services with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. She is furthering her education with a business degree and beginning to learn another language, so she can become a bilingual speaker like the rest of the investigators here at CIS. She started here at Cabral Investigation Services as an intern and shadowed Nanette Cabral on over 200 cases. She has recently become a part of our team here at CIS and has been shadowing investigator Miranda Whealan on numerous cases such as murder, rape, assault and battery, domestic, drug trafficking, etc. She has showed how dedicated she is to help each and every one of our clients. She is great at writing up reports and doing database internet research. During her free time, she loves to work out and hangout with her friends and family. Her rescue dog Belle is a very big part of her life and she has enjoyed rehabilitating her and other rescue dogs in the past. She also spends her free time furthering her education in order to stand out here at CIS.

Stanley Sajous
– Investigator

Investigator Stanley Sajous comes to Cabral Investigation Services with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Lasell College in Newton, MA. While at Lasell Stanley was the featured student on cover of the infamous LEAVES magazine at Lasell College that is released every semester, also being selected as student of the month, and a member of the Diversity Inclusion Committee. Stanley brings strong communication and problem-solving skills. Stanley is the only investigator in the state of Massachusetts who speaks Haitian Creole and French.

Prior to working at Cabral Investigation Services Stanley worked at The Committee for Public Counsel Services office in Quincy, MA. There Stanley gained experience in opening and closing cases, witness interviews, drafting motions to dismiss and suppress along with several different trial motions. Stanley brings a background in courtroom etiquette and an understanding of the judicial system. We are happy to have Stanley as part of the CIS family!
